TAXED 2 DEATH

MILE MARKER #31
The Nation's infrastructure issues are a hot topic lately, concerning the billions of dollars needed for roads and bridges. States are in desperate need for these funds for fixing or rebuilding these structures, and they want it now..... The big question is "Where is all this money going to come from?" Their answer is raising either road taxes, fuel taxes, or State taxes. Where is all the money that was collected for these repairs? Independent truckers and trucking companies have payed their fair share of taxes to fix these problems, and then some. The trucking industry is at the point of being tapped out! R2T votes for the raising of State taxes. Enough is enough with the Fuel and Road Taxes. The States, Cities, and Towns are all guilty of moving collected money around to balance their budgets. Now, it's this big crisis to come up with the money for these much needed repairs.
The toll passes like the I-Pass or Pike-Pass , or which ever one it is, requires a minimum balance in the person's account. This minimum balance may be $100.00 or $150.00. That is a lot of money just in that account, let alone the interest they are collecting from these funds. Where does all the interest go? Some toll roads are actually leased out to Foreigners. For example, the Indiana Toll Road is leased. Ever since the leasing of toll roads began, the Rest Area bathrooms have become unbearable. When the toll road was ran by the State, everything was pretty much clean and respectable. The Foreigners don't run these roads, they just collect the money.
It costs $50.00 just for each truck to cross over the "Legally Condemned" George Washington bridge in New York. When you are at a stand still on the upper tier, take a rough count of how many trucks you are sitting there with, and figure that it's $50.00 dollars each just in big trucks.
These add up to amazing figures per day in tolls, and you can feel the bridge sway back and forth like you're in a canoe at sea.
Some people are forced to move because of high taxes. Families are getting taxed right out of their homes and jobs. If the Nation is going to continue in the direction it is going, it won't take long before the Middle Class is eliminated.
If you do not recognize the bridge in the picture above, it's because it's the largest bridge in the World, and is located in France.
